Having already bought two minutes on the Oscars, Google asked us to come up with an Oscar-worthy way to announce a function update to their Google Search app: Shortcuts.

Despite scratching our heads and wondering why this was slated to be an ad rather than a “What’s New” line in an app update, we were able to tie consumer insights to gif-like clips of 2017 Oscar contenders and create a series fun, catchy :15s.

Unfortunately Lorraine agreed with our initial assessment and while she LOVED the creative, it never ran.
